A Tuscan doorway in full bloom. A warm yellow house front, an arched wooden door, and a climbing plant that has taken over the wall in a cascade of red flowers. Above the door runs a balcony with a stone balustrade, an arched blue window and green shutters, with pots of yellow flowers on either side.
Every colour is its own piece of glass. Made with the glass fusion technique: sheets of coloured Murano glass are cut by hand, composed piece by piece and fused in the kiln into a single panel, then fitted with its clock movement. Small glass tiles mark the hours. The outlines are drawn by hand and the smallest details are added grain by grain, so they stay raised on the surface.
Original Murano glass, made entirely by hand in Italy by master glassmakers: no two clocks are ever the same. A work of art that keeps time.
