Expectation, also called The Waiting, is a dancer from Klimt’s Stoclet Frieze (1905–11), framed by the golden spirals of the Tree of Life.
Made with the glass fusion technique: sheets of coloured Murano glass are cut by hand, composed piece by piece and fused in the kiln into a single panel, then fitted with its clock movement. Original Murano glass, made entirely by hand in Italy by master glassmakers: no two clocks are ever the same. A work of art that keeps time.
