Vondom Africa lounge chair in polypropylene white colour with upholstered Baiona seat

Africa brings a more relaxed dimension to contemporary seating without abandoning the clarity that defines the collection. Designed by Vondom, the Vondom Africa lounge chair combines an enveloping polypropylene structure with an upholstered Baiona seat, creating a comfortable meeting point between essential geometry and tactile softness. Classified among armchairs and sofas, it moves easily from private living spaces to boutique hotels, restaurant lounges and sophisticated terraces. The low, welcoming profile of this Vondom Africa upholstered lounge chair encourages informal relaxation while maintaining the visual discipline required in carefully curated interiors. Its identity also reflects the creative dialogue of Eugeni Quitllet x Vondom, where apparently simple forms are shaped to deliver personality without unnecessary decoration.

Soft Seating without Visual Heaviness

The upholstered Baiona seat changes the character of the polypropylene shell, introducing a layer of comfort while preserving Africa’s clean silhouette. This balance makes the Vondom Africa Baiona lounge chair particularly appealing when designers want upholstered seating that still feels light and contemporary. Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, the polypropylene structure is shock resistant and 100% recyclable, extending its versatility across residential and contract applications. As an outdoor armchair with cushion, Africa can define intimate conversation areas or complement larger lounge layouts. In restaurant and hotel settings, its restrained proportions also work naturally around pieces from the Vondom elegant Noma collection, where contrasting shapes can create a richer yet coordinated furnishing scheme.

From Boutique Interiors to Open-Air Hospitality

Part of the Vondom chairs collection, Africa is equally convincing when specified individually or repeated across a hospitality project. A series of restaurant terrace lounge chair configurations can create comfortable waiting or aperitif areas, while the same design becomes a sophisticated hotel lounge chair in reception spaces and private suites. Its ability to cross the boundary between interior and exterior makes it especially relevant for projects where the guest experience flows continuously between enclosed and open-air environments. On larger terraces, the Vondom Africa outdoor lounge chair can form a relaxed transition toward social zones featuring Vondom refined outdoor bar counters. After dark, surrounding the seating with Vondom modern ambient lighting helps establish a more intimate atmosphere without altering the chair’s understated character. Whether selected as an upholstered outdoor lounge chair for residential relaxation or as designer seating for hospitality, Africa combines recyclable polypropylene, upholstered comfort and Eugeni Quitllet’s distinctive approach to contemporary simplicity.
