&Tradition Betty TK1 chair with webbed seat

A sense of lightness defines the Betty TK1, where clean geometry and tactile materials come together in a chair that feels both understated and distinctive. Created by Thau & Kallio for &Tradition, this elegant piece expands the language of Chairs and Easy chairs through a balance of craftsmanship, comfort, and visual restraint. As part of the Betty furniture collection, it conveys a warm and quietly graphic identity that can also be paired beautifully with pieces from Pavilion collection for a more layered furnishing composition.

Natural Materials with a Refined Expression

Designed for indoor use, the chair is made from solid wood and form-pressed veneer with a linen webbing seat, a combination that gives the design both structural clarity and tactile softness. The presence of wood anchors the chair in Scandinavian material tradition, while the woven seat introduces an airy and comfortable quality that distinguishes it from more conventional dining seating.

Colour, Texture, and Everyday Elegance

Available in colours: oak, smoke, and black, the Betty TK1 adapts with ease to a wide variety of interiors, from calm Nordic dining spaces to more dramatic hospitality concepts. In lighter settings, it reads as a refined oak dining chair with a natural and relaxed presence; in darker finishes, it becomes a more graphic accent, especially when interpreted as a black webbed seat chair. Its woven construction gives it the character of a linen webbing dining chair, while the overall silhouette positions it as a timeless Scandinavian wooden chair for projects that value both comfort and detail. For interiors seeking continuity across categories, it can also be styled with pieces from the Flowerpot collection within the brand’s &Tradition lighting collection, creating a consistent atmosphere across furniture and illumination.

For Dining Spaces with Character and Warmth

Rather than imposing itself through excess, this chair builds its appeal through proportion, texture, and a quietly confident design language. It is an excellent choice for architects, interior designers, and discerning buyers looking for Nordic designer seating that feels authentic and versatile. Whether selected as a luxury wooden dining chair for a private residence or specified as part of modern Nordic furniture in a restaurant or hotel project, the Betty TK1 delivers warmth, clarity, and enduring relevance.
