Before hosting any plant, the Serralunga Ming High planter moleskin impresses through its tactile appeal. Conceived by Rodolfo Dordoni, this tall piece reinterprets the rounded Ming profile into a slender architectural silhouette, enriched by a velvety moleskin surface. Light is absorbed softly across its curves, creating depth and inviting touch, a rare sensorial dimension in the world of designer vases.
Two heights, many atmospheres
Available in 100 and 140 cm, Ming High Moleskin adapts to multiple contexts: a single statement piece at an entrance, a pair framing a lobby, or a sequence adding rhythm to porticos. Its colour palette: grey, rose, mediterranean, lime, champagne, and grape; allows design freedom, from subtle mineral tones to bold, festive hues. Scale and chromatic choice shift the atmosphere, while the purity of the form remains constant.
Material intelligence with a soft finish
Beneath the tactile surface lies high-performance polyethylene: UV-resistant, fully recyclable, solution-dyed for lasting colour, and durable across temperatures from –35°C to +80°C. The moleskin treatment introduces the Ming series to softness without compromising robustness, an alliance of technology and sensitivity that defines contemporary Italian design. Care remains effortless, requiring only mild soap and water.
In dialogue with design collections
Ming High Moleskin integrates harmoniously with curated environments. Its vertical presence anchors the playful language of Gufram iconic low tables, resonates with Serralunga lighting possibilities, and pairs seamlessly with Pedrali seats and chairs or their stools in hospitality layouts. In broader compositions, it acts as a quiet connector between furniture, accessories, and architecture.
Design relevance
Recognised as a classic in the Serralunga planters collection, this vase balances monumentality with warmth. Architects value it as a Rodolfo Dordoni x Serralunga tall planter when vertical accents must feel sculptural yet approachable. Defined as a moleskin surface pot and appreciated in modern outdoor design, it is sculpture that happens to host greenery, a refined instrument for shaping atmospheres with elegance.
