Serralunga Dado coffee table

Serralunga Dado coffee table, designed by Fabio Bortolani – Ermanno Righi, takes its name from the Italian word for “dice,” reflecting its geometric, cubic form. At first sight, its design appears minimal and compact, yet hidden within its structure lies a thoughtful detail: a slot that functions as a magazine rack. This clever feature transforms the table into a dual-purpose piece, perfect for keeping books, magazines, or newspapers within easy reach. In doing so, Dado becomes more than a coffee table: it is a modern garden cube that merges utility with elegance, fitting naturally alongside Pedrali stylish tables in contemporary homes and lounges.

Resilience for outdoor and indoor living

Crafted in durable polyethylene, Dado is resistant to shocks, UV rays, and extreme temperatures. Its solution-dyed surface ensures that colors remain vibrant over time, while the material is 100% recyclable, aligning with Serralunga’s sustainable production ethos. A discreet drainage outlet at the base of the magazine slot prevents water accumulation, allowing the piece to be left outdoors year-round. Easy to maintain with mild soap and water, it belongs to the family of Serralunga’s furniture that combine practicality with refined design details.

A palette of versatility

Available in white, anthracite, red, and light blue, the Serralunga Dado adapts to different moods and contexts. White emphasizes clarity and minimalism, anthracite underscores architectural strength, red adds vibrancy and energy, while light blue introduces a playful touch of modernity. These colors allow the compact outdoor table to move from residential patios to hospitality projects, while also blending harmoniously with the expressive tones of the Marcantonio collection, known for its sculptural yet simple approach to design.

Integration within collections

Dado interacts naturally with other Serralunga pieces. It complements planters and accessories from the catalogue, integrates well with Serralunga Aqua Collection elements in outdoor spaces, and balances eclectic compositions when paired with Gufram iconic low tables or with Ibride’s more artistic furniture. Compact and versatile, it functions as both a table and a discreet storage solution, enriching spaces with elegance and usability.

Identity of design

Recognized as a Bortolani Righi design, the Dado coffee table is admired for its intelligent simplicity. It is valued as a Serralunga designer table that blends essential form with hidden functionality, and it is often selected by architects as a white polyethylene table or Serralunga Dado coffee table to bring versatility into outdoor and indoor settings. More than just furniture, it stands as a symbol of thoughtful design that enhances daily life with durability, practicality, and contemporary style.
