The Serax Perfect Imperfection plate Heaven by Roos Van De Velde transforms the dining experience into an encounter with art and emotion. Part of the Perfect Imperfection collection, this piece celebrates the beauty of natural irregularity and human touch — a philosophy rooted in the Japanese notion of wabi-sabi. Every curve, texture, and reflection of the Heaven plate embodies the designer’s belief that perfection lies in the imperfect, and that true elegance emerges from authenticity.
The Harmony of Form and Light
Crafted from the finest bone china, this Plate radiates a delicate luminosity that enhances its sculptural contours. The serax perfect imperfection heaven plate is available in two dimensions — 23×26 cm and 30 cm — both featuring a gently undulating shape that captures and reflects light like ripples on water. Each plate is hand-formed and glazed, ensuring no two are alike. Its organic outline adds rhythm and movement to the table, perfectly complementing the serene design language of Serax Tableware>.
Artisan Craft and Practical Function
Made for alimentary use and entirely dishwasher safe and microwave safe (though not oven safe), the Heaven plate balances durability with refined artistry. The 23×26 artistic ceramic plate provides a versatile platform for serving main courses, tasting dishes, or elegant desserts. Its fine glaze reveals subtle tonal variations, enhancing its tactile beauty. Designed to pair effortlessly with crystal glasses and polished accessories from Serax Home Accessories, it anchors any contemporary table with timeless poise.
Styling and Visual Composition
This handmade glazed tableware piece brings a sculptural dimension to the dining setting. Its fluid form and reflective finish create depth and contrast when layered with complementary pieces. The Roos Van De Velde wabi sabi plate harmonizes beautifully with organic textiles, soft lighting, and natural materials, establishing a tranquil atmosphere. Whether in a fine restaurant or an intimate home environment, it encourages an aesthetic of calm, grounded sophistication.
The Art of Roos Van De Velde
Each sculptural ceramic plate designed by Roos Van De Velde for Serax represents her enduring dialogue with nature and imperfection. The designer imperfect plate Heaven stands as a metaphor for balance — between fragility and resilience, between creation and spontaneity. To own it is to embrace an object that transcends utility, embodying the soul of craftsmanship and the quiet beauty of impermanent design.
