Serax Mena/Clara side table

The Serax Mena/Clara side table designed by Marie Michielssen embodies the designer’s sculptural approach to functional furniture. Belonging to the furniture category, it combines robust stoneware with bold geometry, creating a compact yet expressive presence. Its solid body and smooth finish turn it into both a practical surface and an artistic accent for refined luxury home décor.

Shapes and Finishes for Every Mood

The family by Serax is composed of two distinctive silhouettes: the more rounded Mena and the tapered, elegant Clara. These variants allow interiors to alternate between softness and sleek lines, offering flexibility for designers and private buyers alike. The palette extends from the vibrant yellow version to dark green, blue, rust red, and grey, each glaze enhancing the stoneware’s tactility. Thanks to this variety, the Serax Mena table adapts easily to bold, colorful schemes or neutral, minimal arrangements.

Designed for Pairing and Harmony

Marie Michielssen conceived the Mena/Clara tables to be paired with minimal home accessories, like scented candles. Their clear volumes and strong presence act as balancing elements beside seating with softer silhouettes or within spaces that require a focal point without excess. In a living room, they work seamlessly next to a sofa or armchair; in a bedroom, they become elegant bedside companions. Their versatility makes them equally at home in residential interiors or boutique hospitality projects, confirming them as the ideal Marie Michielssen side table for design lovers.

Everyday Function with Artistic Character

The weight and stability of stoneware make the table reliable in everyday use, while the nuanced glaze ensures subtle variation and visual depth under different light conditions. Styled with a stack of books, a hand-thrown vase, or a small lamp, the Mena/Clara table functions as an understated stage that enhances whatever it supports. Whether chosen for its sculptural character, its range of color finishes, or its ability to complement existing designer pieces, it reflects Serax’s dedication to high-quality, timeless design. In this way, it stands as a ceramic side table and a collectible designer accent table that enriches interiors with elegance and permanence.
