Serax Dune Platter with Bowl

The Serax Dune Platter with Bowl by Kelly Wearstler is a generous service piece that unites a linear board and a removable vessel into a single, fluid gesture. Belonging to Cutting Boards and Trays, it is crafted from ash wood in natural and black finishes and produced in two substantial lengths—60 cm and 81 cm. The composition supports grazing menus and tasting flights, offering a disciplined canvas for charcuterie, cheeses, crudités or sushi while the bowl accommodates condiments, dips or small-format salads with sculptural clarity.

Design and Function

The elongated board introduces directionality to service, guiding the eye across textures and colours. The integrated vessel locks the arrangement with a focal point, enabling a refined serving and cutting tray routine that transitions between preparation and table presentation. In restaurants and editorial shoots alike, the piece reads as a warm alternative to a white ceramic chopping board, pairing graphic precision with the tactility of timber.

Material and Care

Made of ash, the set exhibits strength and lightness in equal measure. The finish is optimised for durability; maintenance follows the guidance to hand wash, preserving the wood’s clarity and tone over time. In service, the format answers how to serve appetizers on cutting boards with an approach that keeps elements organised while inviting convivial sharing.

Styling and Scalability

Natural ash complements cool-toned porcelain and glass; black intensifies contrast with pale cheeses and seasonal vegetables. The two sizes allow the piece to scale from private dinners to boutique hospitality. For specifiers intent to buy dune board online as part of a larger kit, the proportions align with Dune plates, bowls and trays, sustaining a consistent visual rhythm across the table.

Collection and Brand Frame

Within Serax’s portfolio, the board-and-bowl configuration reflects a commitment to hybrid tools that move seamlessly between function and mise en scène. It speaks fluently to the layered vocabulary of Kelly Wearstler accessories, offering designers a modular instrument for contemporary entertaining.
