Konstantin Grcic gives Tom a distinctive mechanical character through an exposed relationship between natural timber, reinforced polypropylene and adjustable movement. The Magis Tom stool with solid beech seat and legs, glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene joint and screw combines a swivel function, integrated footrest and height adjustment from 70 to 86 cm, allowing the seat to respond to different counter and bar applications. Conceived for indoor use, its backless profile keeps the structure compact while highlighting the visible adjustment mechanism. Within Konstantin Grcic x Magis, Magis The Wild Bunch and Magis Masterpieces, Tom reflects a pragmatic approach in which construction, movement and material remain central to the identity of the object.
Adjustable seating within Magis Stools
Positioned within Magis Stools, Tom offers flexible seating for kitchens, counters, bars and hospitality environments where different surface heights may require an adaptable solution. The stool adjusts continuously between 70 and 86 cm, while the swivel function allows the seat to rotate without changing its compact footprint. An integrated footrest supports use at elevated positions, reinforcing its suitability as a height-adjustable bar stool or counter seat. The combination of solid beech and reinforced polypropylene creates a clear contrast between warm natural material and technical components, giving this wooden swivel stool a functional yet visually distinctive presence in contemporary residential and contract interiors.
Colour and mechanical detail through the Magis design language
Magis offers Tom in Natural Beech 7011/White 1735C, Natural Beech 7011/Black 1754C, Black Beech 7140/Black 1754C, Natural Beech 7011/Orange 1780C, Natural Beech 7011/Light Blue 1781C, Natural Beech 7011/Red 1782C and Natural Beech 7011/Green 1783C. These combinations allow the structural elements to move from restrained monochromatic pairings to brighter colour accents while preserving the same recognisable form. The visible joint and screw become part of the aesthetic rather than being concealed, reinforcing the technical identity of the design. As an adjustable wooden bar stool, Tom combines tactile warmth with practical movement for interiors that value both expressive detail and everyday adaptability.
A flexible partner for Magis Tables & Low Tables
Tom coordinates naturally with Magis Tables & Low Tables, particularly in environments where seating height may need to change between counters, work surfaces and taller communal tables. Its adjustable range makes the stool useful in domestic kitchens, hospitality areas and informal meeting settings, while the backless form allows it to remain visually light and easy to position beneath suitable surfaces. The solid beech seat and legs bring warmth to the composition, while the reinforced polypropylene mechanism introduces a more graphic technical note. Whether specified as a kitchen island stool, a rotating counter seat or an adjustable bar stool, Tom offers architects, interior designers, hoteliers and design-conscious clients a refined balance of movement, compact proportions, material clarity and functional versatility.
