A soft glow runs through the Ichendorf Boreale vase, as if the first light of dawn had settled inside the glass. Its silhouette is pure and confident, yet never rigid; colour seems to float in the body like an aurora, shifting with every movement of the room. Placed on a console with fresh branches or left intentionally empty, it behaves like a small architecture of light, a quiet statement that refines the space without ever imposing itself.
Craft and material, finely tuned
Each piece is hand-made and flame-worked in fine Glass, following the meticulous rhythm of Italian artisans. The controlled heat gives transparency a palpable tension; edges stay crisp, volumes remain supple, and the surface retains that distinctive clarity that design collectors seek. Practicality is part of its elegance: the vase is dishwasher safe at low temperatures, so its brilliance endures daily use while preserving the delicate charm of a gallery object. Within the Ichendorf vases category, it stands out for precision, balance and a serene contemporary attitude.
Colourways with a northern soul
The Boreale palette explores refined contrasts: green and petrol for a deep, botanical note; amber and pink for warm, sunset moods; yellow and purple for vibrant interiors. These variations invite curation. Build tonal stories by pairing the vase with the brand’s iconic tumblers, cups and mugs or pieces from the Botanica line; the chromatic dialogue creates rhythm across shelves and dining settings. From compact nooks to generous tabletops, the proportions are studied to enhance flowers with airy stems as well as sculptural, single-branch compositions.
Design by Lina Obregón
Conceived by Lina Obregón, the Boreale concept treats colour as atmosphere and glass as a living membrane that holds it. The designer’s approach is deliberately essential: remove what is superfluous, amplify what is sensorial. The result is a piece that speaks softly yet persuasively to architects and stylists who look for a calm, enduring presence. Within the Ichendorf vases collection, it becomes a linking element between poetic transparency and functional clarity.
Why it belongs in your collection
