Ibride enriches its singular design universe with the Junior bear bookcase in corten steel, a creation by Rachel & Benoît Convers that merges sculptural poetry with functional purpose. This piece, part of the iconic Mobilier de Compagnie collection, transcends the idea of storage to become a lasting presence in both gardens and interiors. Its corten steel structure is conceived for outdoor use, where its evolving patina interacts with light and weather, transforming the surface into a living material that resonates with the spirit of nature.
A sculptural companion for outdoor living
The corten steel bookcase is not only resistant to water and heat, but also designed for minimal maintenance: a simple rinse with clear water is enough to restore its noble aspect. Its silhouette embodies the gentle strength of a bear, affirming the poetic animal presence that defines Ibride furniture. More than a functional shelf, Junior becomes a guardian of books, plants, and treasured objects, anchoring outdoor terraces or garden corners with a blend of elegance and playfulness.
A family of enduring companions
Junior is part of a larger corten family, alongside the monumental Joe bear bookcase, the graceful Diane doe console, and the sculptural Callisto console. Together they form an ensemble of zoomorphic presences, each reinterpreting the bond between humans, animals, and living spaces. This continuity across the Ibride Corten line underlines the brand’s commitment to creating objects that age with dignity, adapting their surface over the years while retaining structural strength.
Dialogue with the wider Ibride world
As with the evocative trays from the Galerie de Portraits, or the luminous works of Ibride Lighting, the Junior bookcase reveals how design at Ibride transcends categories. It sits naturally within the brand’s broader vision of home decor, where every creation tells a story and builds an emotional connection with its owner. Junior is more than furniture; it is part of a narrative that stretches from the poetic Portrait Collector prints to the architectural Roma collection, reaffirming Ibride’s ability to blend heritage, material innovation, and timeless presence.
