The Ichendorf Dogs Jug by Alessandra Baldereschi is a witty reinterpretation of a classic table object. Part of the Dogs collection, this jug is handmade in borosilicate glass, a material celebrated for its resistance, lightness, and brilliant clarity. Its most distinctive feature lies in the handle: available in either the shape of a dachshund (bassotto) or a bull terrier, it transforms a functional piece into a joyful design accent.
Design that makes you smile
Baldereschi x Ichendorf’s approach blends humor with refined craftsmanship, creating objects that are practical yet imaginative. The dog-shaped handle, carefully lampworked by artisans, is both decorative and ergonomic, giving the jug its unique personality. Subtle variations in shape or color reflect the handmade process, adding authenticity and making each jug one of a kind.
A jug for every occasion
More than a vessel for water, juice, or cocktails, this piece is a conversation starter, a collectible design object that enhances both everyday use and festive gatherings. Its playful character appeals not only to dog lovers but also to those who appreciate design that dares to surprise. Dishwasher safe at low temperatures (40 °C/104 °F recommended), it combines practicality with lasting artisanal value.
Part of a larger collection
The Dogs Jug harmonizes with other pieces from the Ichendorf Dogs collection, as well as with the Ichendorf Botanica collection, Animal Farm collection, and other Ichendorf teapots. Together, these collections tell stories at the table, transforming every setting into a lively tableau.
A collectible design piece
Internationally admired for its originality, the Ichendorf Dogs Jug stands as a playful yet refined example of Italian glassmaking. Whether chosen in its dachshund or bull terrier version, it embodies the fusion of humor, storytelling, and craftsmanship that defines Ichendorf Milano. Perfect as a gift or as part of a personal collection, it brings a touch of warmth, irony, and sophistication to the home.
